Credit Card Payment

Credit card payments made through the site are taken over the infrastructure of iyzico, a licensed payment institution. This page explains how the payment process works and how your card details are protected.

Where Are Your Card Details Held?

Your card number, expiry date and CVC code NEVER reach the seller’s servers and are not stored by the seller. These details are transmitted directly to the payment institution’s PCI-DSS certified system over an encrypted connection.

Only the information on whether the payment succeeded, together with the last four digits of the card, is returned to the seller. In your correspondence with customer services, never share your card number or your passwords under any circumstances; the seller never requests such details.

3D Secure Verification

At the payment step your identity is verified with the one-time password sent to your phone by your bank. This verification prevents your card from being used without your knowledge. Until the verification is completed, no order is created and no amount is charged to the card.

Instalment Options

The availability of instalments varies according to the bank your card belongs to and the card type; the valid options are listed on screen at the payment step once you enter your card number. Commercial cards and some debit cards may not be open to instalments.

Authorisation and Charge

When the order is confirmed the amount is blocked on your card; the block turns into a charge during the preparation of the order. If the order is cancelled, the block is released. How long the block takes to appear on your card statement depends on your bank.

Refund Process

For payments made by credit card, the refund is made to the same card as required by law; a refund cannot be made in cash or to a different account. Once the seller has passed the refund to the payment institution, the time it takes for the amount to appear on your card depends on your bank’s processing time.

For purchases made in instalments, the refund is also processed in instalments: the bank divides the amount by the number of remaining instalments and credits it to your statement each month.

Payment by Bank Transfer and EFT

If you prefer to pay by bank transfer or EFT instead of by credit card, the bank account details are shown on screen at the payment step and in your order e-mail. Writing your order number in the description field is required so that the payment can be matched with your order.

Suspicious Transactions

If you believe your card has been used without your permission, contact your bank immediately. Under the Turkish Bank Cards and Credit Cards Law no. 5464 (Banka Kartları ve Kredi Kartları Kanunu), the cardholder’s duty to notify and the bank’s liability are governed by that law.
