This page explains the cancellation of orders placed through the site, the right of withdrawal and the return process. It is based on the Turkish Distance Contracts Regulation and on Law no. 6502 on Consumer Protection. This English text is a courtesy translation; the Turkish version is the legally binding one.
Order Cancellation
You may submit a cancellation request before your order is handed over to the carrier. For orders cancelled at this stage, your payment is refunded without any deduction.
For products manufactured to measure or prepared with a bespoke choice of material or dimensions, cancellation may not be possible once production has started; this situation is explained under the exceptions to the right of withdrawal below.
Right of Withdrawal
The consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 (fourteen) days from the date of delivery of the goods, without giving any reason and without paying any penalty. This period is the statutory minimum.
To exercise the right of withdrawal it is sufficient to send notice to the seller in writing or on a durable medium (e-mail) before the period expires. You may send your notice to store[at]sogaspaces.com.
Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal
Pursuant to Article 15 of the Regulation, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for the following goods:
- Goods prepared in line with the consumer’s requests or personal needs, manufactured to measure or modified
- Goods that by their nature are not suitable for return
- Goods whose packaging has been opened after delivery and whose return is not suitable for reasons of health or hygiene
Products sold in standard dimensions in the catalogue fall outside these exceptions and are subject to the right of withdrawal. Which scope your order falls under is stated on the product page and in the order confirmation before the order is placed.
Return Conditions
The product to be returned must be unused, undamaged and in resaleable condition. The box, accessories, assembly parts and, where applicable, the warranty certificate must be sent back complete.
With furniture it is important to open the packaging carefully: keeping the original packaging in case of a return prevents the product from being damaged in transit.
Damaged or Defective Product
Please check the outer condition of the parcel when taking delivery. If there is visible damage, do not accept delivery without having the carrier draw up a report; when the product reaches us together with that report it is replaced free of charge.
In the case of defective goods, the consumer’s optional rights are set out in Article 11 of Law no. 6502: withdrawal from the contract, a price reduction in proportion to the defect, free repair, or replacement with a defect-free equivalent.
Refunds
Once the notice of withdrawal has reached the seller, the product is collected and the payment is refunded within the statutory period. For payments made by credit card the refund is issued to the same card; how long the amount takes to appear on your card depends on your bank’s processing time.
Return shipping conditions and the status of any assembly or transport charge are notified separately during the order and in the order confirmation e-mail, depending on the nature of the product.
